Medicine is a science that continues to develop over time. Radiology cannot be separated from technological advances, especially in the field of nuclear medicine. Science and technology continue to develop to meet human needs in the health sector. Nuclear medicine is a field that cannot be separated from radiology because it uses radioactive materials and radiological imaging modalities to be used properly. Therefore, as a human resource in the field of radiology, radiology residents need to update their knowledge in the field of nuclear medicine. Nuclear medicine is also currently a science and technology that continues to develop because it is considered to provide promising benefits in the future. Even though Indonesia is still a developing country, the development of science is considered as one of the efforts to improve the quality of human resources. Cases of oncology are also increasing over time, so the use of nuclear medicine which is considered to provide benefits for patients is very necessary.
Guest lecturer with the theme of Nuclear Medicine, were held on 2 different occasions, namely on 15th and 29th October 2022 starting at 11.00 am until finished, taking place at the UNDIP Faculty of Medicine Campus, B Building, first floor, offline and online. The resource person on this occasion was Dr. dr. Tjondro Setiawan, Sp.Rad(K)RN-PM. This activity was attended by 68 participants consisting of 19 lecturers and 49 PPDS. In the first session, October 15 2022, the material presented was about Nuclear Radiology and PET-CT Preparation. Then in the second session, 29 October 2022, the material presented was FDG PET-CT in Oncology. This lecture was opened by dr. Sukma Imawati, Sp.Rad(K), followed by a 2 hour lecture session. After that it was followed by a question and answer session. The question and answer session was interactive with a variety of interesting questions raised by both the Lecturer and PPDS. Furthermore, the activity was closed by dr. Sukma Imawati, Sp.Rad(K).
