Radiology Study Program of Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with Radiology Medical Staff of Dr. Kariadi Hospital held a community service on August 7th 2022 at Taman Indonesia Kaya Semarang. In this opportunity, education about The Role of Radiology in Detecting Colorectal Tumor was given for public. The education was given by distributing leaflets and books about Colorectal Tumor. Colorectal tumor was the third most common malignancy in Indonesia and all over the world. It is caused by dietary changes from healthier foods to high fat and low fiber foods. A successful treatment can be achieved by diagnosing the tumor in earlier stage, so that proper curative treatment can be done. Several imaging modality can be used to detect colorectal tumor, such as fluoroscopy, CT scan and MRI. This community service was held to increase public’s perspective about symptoms of colorectal tumor and imaging modalities used in diagnosing colorectal tumor. Furthermore, Radiology Study Program was also distributing health protocol kit, including mask and hand sanitizer, so people would be able to continue health protocol.
